In foreground, Lisa Currie, director of health education, listens to Dr. Brett Lieberman discuss "Keeping Healthy during the Cold and Flu Season" Nov. 19 in the Public Affairs Center. Dr. Lieberman, who visited Wesleyan from the Connecticut Center for Health, offered tips on bolstering the immune system.

Lieberman suggests getting good quality sleep at night, eating healthy, nutritious foods to support the immune system, getting exercise and finding better ways to deal with stress. He says using echinacea, ginger and eucalyptus also can stimulate the immune system during cold and flu season. The event was sponsored by WesWELL. (Photos by Intisar Abioto '09)
